After years of studying and teaching tango and yoga, Mona is uniquely positioned to use yoga as a tool to help dancers and others uncover patterns of movements and unlock tensions that may be limiting their dance. These classes aim at improving our physical and mental strength, agility, breathing and correct spinal alignment to unleash the body armour.
Deemed a metaphor for the way we relate to the world and to one another, partner dance requires open body and mind for inner/outer world as well as partners' connection. TanYog is designed to provide the gateway to such physical and emotional connection by repetitive practise on different asanas and breathing.
These classes are also suitable to non-tango dancers who are interested in yoga.
