Martin Lorenzo is a tango dancer and teacher from Argentina.
His romance with
tango started in 1997 at his hometown, Rosario. He was introduced to the
concepts of elegance and equilibrium in tango by his first teachers, Beatriz
Mendoza and Olando Paiva and Julio Zurita.
He continued his tango
education and exchange knowledge with various tango dancers as he travelled and
lived in Europe. Upon returning to Argentina, he started to examine the
different styles in dance, which include milonguero style and contemporary dance
under the guidance of Sebastian Vallina and Moira Castellano.
In 2004, he
moved to Burenos Aires and started to dance and teach with Eladia Cordoba. They
worked in different milongas and studios, among which the most commonly known
are El Beso and La Catedral. In 2007, they were nvited to teach and
participate in festivals held in France, Greece, Germany and Lithuania.
Martin's
work as a tango choreographer and performer in theatre can be seen in Grupo
CETA, last featured in Cambalache in Dec 2007. He has worked with different
directors including Julio Zurita, Moria Castellano and Gonzalo
Orihuela.
Martin is now based in Hong Kong and believes it is his mission
to promote tango and transfer his knowledge to the people in Hong Kong
and the Orient. His teaching style is to help students to understand tango
through images and signals, and to discover the tools to express themselves
through the dance and the music. He suggests creativity and that each individual
develop their own style.

Mona first fell in love with tango in 1995 and had to stop the romance one year later due to her then priorities in life. She met tango again in 2001 and since then, she makes her annual pilgrimage to Buenos Aires
and Europe to study with various tango masters. Her training in other dance
forms and yoga provide her with a solid
foundation and thorough understanding in the principles and techniques
of tango.
After leaving the corporate world, she dedicated herself to studying
tango and yoga. She is also a certified yoga
instructor and an enthusiast in biomechanics.
Fascinated by the transformation tango has done to her and many others, Mona decides to become a professional tango
teacher.
She founded Lead & Follow with Donald and started teaching in 2005. She is well-known for her defined pedagogy and they were the first local teachers invited to teach in Shanghai, China. She has
been at the forefront of the development of Argentine Tango in Hong Kong and celebrates the joy of inspiring people to
share and to connect with one another through the beauty of Tango.
